New Tractor and Loader

Looking at buying a new tractor and loader, 120hp+ 4 cylinder 40k or 50k . The options are, thinking about dealers and service: New Holland or Case Valtra or a secondhand 312 Fendt. What are peoples opinions, will not do massive hours but will be kept a long time and must be comfortable and reliable. Front and cab suspension are a must, loader will only get occasional use.

What sort of work will it be doing?

I would be looking at a G series Valtra. Was very impressed with the cab layout when a sat in one.
We have a N154 and it's a great all round tractor

The cabs look OK, but when you start them up it sounds like Mr China man left his spanner set inside them. Incredibly noisy engines.
I'd also go with N series rather than G. It just doesn't sit right in my mind that the engines are made in China under Agco license. Also N5 series is out, so shouldn't be that different to G5 cab wise.

Definitely give Case Maxxum and Nh equivalent a go! Cvx/AutoCommand is the way to go with them.

For loader work it’s very hard to beat the valtra shuttle , as for reliability they are top of the league. Great visibility and very comfortable.

Been a while since I last sat in a Valtra but don't you have to lift the shuttle to move it? If that's still the case I'd massively prefer the CNH shuttle that you just push without needing to lift it...

Valtra shuttle is the best there is, it's so light and easy to move. I can flick the shuttle on ours with 1 finger as I'm spinning the wheel round to change direction with no extra effort needed. Won't find another tractor where it's so easy/effortless

The new 5 range has changed to be like other brands so they can have the f/r on the right hand multi controller.

Believe 4 series also does that (at least with smart touch) but is it on the loader joystick though? Because if not you'll still end up using the left hand shuttle when doing loader work.

You won’t prefer the cnh ones that don’t have neutral position on the shuttle, just a poke button for neutral. What a stupid idea

Uuuh why's that? I have driven a Case loader tractor for 5 years now and I don't think I have ever used the neutral button :scratchhead::scratchhead:
