New tractor delivery dates

The more people who drive their own tractors the smarter they get. We had a chap from Scotland visit several years ago who told us his tractor driver had left because of back problems so he was not going to replace him but he'd decided to change his MF 390 for a Fendt.

Suddenly that old beast wasn't that cheap to own after all.

For those with long memories we've been here before:
Back to 1973/4 and the three day week. Ford 7000 ordered end of June '73 - arrived on farm February '74

Ford Cortinas also took a year to arrive.

Thankfully being a pauper livestock farmer these type of things don’t concern me,
I’m too poor for anything new and historically the new tractors we had years ago were all dealer stock never ordered, so arrived shortly after seeing them.

Only here once. As I have said numerous times before, the bulk of you work so hard and for long long hours, so whatever you want, be it Fendt, Defender, hedgetrimmer, whatever, get on and buy it. Fudge buying stock machines, you get the exact machine and spec you want and enjoy life.

To be fair when me and my late father got the tractor I use now we waited for a while to find a nice used one with everything we wanted, front supensuon cab suspension air seat ccls wide tyres etc prob over spec for what we needed but it is nice to use!
only catch was it was in Bodmin and we were in North Yorkshire thankfully it arrived looking better than the pics!!!!
