To be fair 1100 hours is nothing ,i should dearly hope that a new tractor does that , yes they all have problems ,but i think the interface between the steering wheel and seat has a lot to do with it ,
And regular servicing and maintaince ,
In the last 26000 hrs of 3 jd ,s i have used ,have had oil ,filters , tyres , 4 batteries ,one air con fan , a set of hydraulic arm ends twice as worn ball ends out ,
Just bought another from a forum member with over 11000 hrs ,but its like new ,and been really well looked after , what does that tell you
That not all ways the case the 3rd gear problem on a Mf dyna 6 gearbox is a software problem it changes gear to fast & is to hard on it nothing at all to do with the person driving it

all tractors break down but it is the speed at which it is put right that is important, take MF at the moment there is 84 on going problems with the 77 range these problems started out in the 76 range & only now when there is a yank in charge of the factory in France that these problems will get sorted out most are taking over 300 days to be looked at were as problems with Fendt are looked at with in 7 days & sorted out by 21 days , it is not a quick fit answer this is to stop it from being a problem any more

Pointless poll IMO,far better to show the TRUE cost of ownership per hour, including depreciation and repairs. For me,where I am Deere has the best dealer and will always get you out of trouble(at a price),but im not a Deere man so we run CNH,dealers are good but wouldn't always have a spare tractor to hire if I was stuck,so we keep a spare ourselves, works for us.You could get a bad one from any manufacturer so the proximity and relationship with the dealer is more important.

The survey results look far more likely as a tractor popularity/sales figures than actual reliability.
I have had most brands on that list. All, in fact except Valtra.
The one that absolutely stands out for reliability by a long, long way: JCB.

Ironically, my dealer was both a JCB and Valtra dealer, until Valtra pulled the plug on him because he was selling far more Fastracs.

Do these warranties cost much? John Deere & Fendt for example?
we once bought a tractor with extended warranty every time it went wrong i was told it was wear and tear not a warranty claim over fifty odd years years i cant say ive had many tractor problems the worst was a case 110 but this was mainly due to the fact that it was built in britain and the management economised on parts supplied to them we have a case maxum that has slogged its guts out for for years and never had a penny spent on it apart from tyres and batteries and a pair of track rod ends she is now twenty odd and spends her life on the hedge cutter and straw chopper if buying a tractor for someone else to drive find out what they like if a man doesn't like a tractor he will abuse it

What about the circlip issue that requires the cab off and the whole tractor dismantled for it to be fixed
That was a fault on the earlier t4 series that has been modified , there are plenty of well known faults on other top brands that were never sorted out costing the owner a fortune over the years , faults built in on purpose to keep the dealer workshops busy.

How come Valtra aren’t more popular if they’re so good?
You should form an owners club if there isn’t one already, it would be super.

Not enough good dealers , but that is improving and their sales are rising .
Best brand for a dealer to sell is the one that drivers and owners love to drive (spend a day in)with plenty of problems therefore large parts and service revenue. With a quick and efficient parts backup.
This is why the best tractor for reliability may not be best sellers
