New trailer

Anyone got any decent pictures or videos of a Gamic 14ft Tri axle (with big wheels on the outside)
With the electronic sheep decks.

Will they give me a trade in price?
14ft ifor in reasonable condition

Still £9k and 9 months waiting list?

Having gone from numerous Ifor’s to a Gamic, the beauty of the Gamic is that sheep don’t have to run up a ramp, but run in on the flat.
A hydraulically assisted ramp still has them running up a ramp, it surely just makes it a bit easier for weaker owners to lift it afterwards. I can’t say the physical lifting of the IW ramp was ever the hard bit of loading.

Is the power deck a shallower angle than the manual lifting ramp?

That’s what I thought to it aswell, a bit of over complication but not actually achieving the same result? I saw a video of a new Houghtons Platinum 4 deck artic where they now have hydraulic lift on the back section so each penfull gets lifted up to its desired deck and then walked forward! Looked bloody neat!

Yes, The Power Deck has a very shallow angle on the deck ramp, and makes loading a lot less stress full for animal and farmer
Just watched a few Ge YouTube vids and can see it's got an extra section in the lifting ramp.
Can it be retrofitted to an existing trailer?

Sorry, can’t retrofit it to existing trailer, but will part x change, and have selection of second hand trailers in stock

To be fair, the concertina decking does look easy to pull out (& stronger than loose, fold down panels in the IW), but how do you fold it away?

Handle at the front you wind

Thanks. Presumably you have to use a small child to clean the top deck off before packing it away?

That, imo, is the only disadvantage of the Gamic lifting deck. The lower deck is not the easiest to wash out, particularly if it’s built up a bit (yeah, I know, everybody cleans it out every time they use it....).

The best way to wash the deck off, is stand at the inspection door, blasting the muck off the 1st two panels back wards, then wind the 1st two panel away and repeat washing panel 3 and 4 etc

Good thing with a ifor is you can badly brush the top deck off and still fold it up if your moving sheep and cows in the same day and when you do wash it out do the back half fold it up then do the front

that looks like it’ll be a pain to wash out unless you’ve a volume washer
