Buy a Ranger and a Ford Fiesta Sport van. Keep the Ranger for rolling in to Carmarthen and towing and the odd time you fear getting stuck in the snow and enjoy nearly 3 times mpg and a nippier ride for the other 85% of your miles

If you turn up in the Fiesta van , your customers may feel your margins are lower than they were

Win win :)

Business lease will not be cheap per month but you can offset it against tax. You don't own it at the end however.

Personally think it has to be Land Rover or maybe the new Volvo XC90 which is dead sexy, avoid the largest wheel rim option. Air suspension worth considering, too.

Or forget it all and get an Audi S6 or Alpina B5 or something.

Tesla cars can be had for half the money with less than 20K on. Fills up for that cost £7.

Audi Q7 is fugly, X5 is a hideous machine, neither of them fit for rural use.

8p/mile is what I'm paying excess. Hardly the end of the world IMO. Booked it at 15k/yr but am doing 20k as didn't want to pay for.something I might not use. I went through my local mitsibushi garage which was a bit more expensive than the online guys but when the paperwork came through it was the same as the online guys. My 2yr deal runs out in June. Might extend it if nothing looks competitive at the time.
