New version slow?

Is anyone else finding since the update the forum is running a lot slower?

It takes a while for new posts/photos to upload. Going by the number of double posts, I'm not the only 1.

Yes - we are still trying to optimise the new severs

It’s a very variable and fairly unpredictable load that can be truly massive at peak times

Yes, but servers spool up 1 at a time. Some times we are running 1 other times 4. Lots of optimising going on in the background.

It’s really fast on my iPad right now, even though lots are online.

To help us with this can users please note time of issue / slow loading / double posting and post them here ? - it will help us look at logs and see exactly what's happening so we can fix it

to some extent but also day of week, time of day, we have spikes at meal times, season (winter is much more busy ) and day length ................. and also whats on TV Downtown Abbey used to be particularity good for traffic levels !!

Just fess up clive , you've done a diy upgrade to save some quids , then everything is fine it's perfectly understandable , saying it's an upgrade is taking the proverbial
