Following the construction of a small housing estate on top of my existing water supply pipework, the building company have agreed (no choice really!) to put in a new 32mm supply down about 300m of my farm lane to join up with the existing supply. They will cover all the costs, including a new connection. So all good and can be sorted easily enough. However, I am told that STWater will need to have an indication of the likely usage so will need to know the the properties that will be served, and also how much water will be required at peak demand by the farm. The domestic properties are easy enough... but the farm, well I havr no idea where to get that sort of info. Water tanks with 3/4" ball valves for around 80-90 head youngstock at maximum demand, or maybe a 3/4" feed for topping up IBC's for sprayer filling. Are there any templates for calcul;ating these please?
