After many many years my Dunlop Purofort Thermo+ have given up :(

Cracked on the heal and have no tread left on them at all. I hated them to begin with because they felt to rigid and if driving pickup/tractor could be hard on the ankle all day.

Want some very warm, very comfortable boots, all makes considered please (y)

I’ve used Aigke Parcours ISO for about 8 years but last pair wore out in about 12 months so I thought I try a cheaper set of muck boots.

Big mistake, pain to get if your feet and both started leaking within 2 days of each other.

So returned those and good a pair of Le Chameau with the tractor tyre tread grips. Had tg about 4 weeks and rate them do farm. Great grip and comfy to wear.

Got a pair of Bekina Thermolites, they're lovely and warm but I can't drive in them as they won't fit under the dashboard, also with the thick soles I keep walking into the top of doorframes in our low roofed buildings.

I got a pair of Skellerup Quatro Safety neoprene lined wellies for this winter, and I'm very pleased with them.
They're quite rigid on the ankle, but I like that.
+1 for Skellerups, I’ve 2 pairs normal and thermal. Find thermal is only really wearable on the coldest of days feet get too hot otherwise.

Wore the above in the snow at work and Le Chameau’s when I ‘went’ out I felt the Skellerups had the edge for grip and feeling planted.

I bought some Bekinas at the start of winter and they were the most uncomfortable wellies I've ever had, after about a week my feet were so sore I looked like I'd injured myself.
Went back to dunlops but it was several days before u could walk properly.

Me too, use to rub something chronic, would get used to it after a week but if you stopped wearing them for a while they would need breaking in all over again. Lasted longer than the Dunlop winter wellies.

Had a pair of these for the last month and impressed. Comfy from day one and warm.

I find aigles very comfortable BUT they pull my socks off by the time I get across the yard and back.
Wrong size maybe? I know he sizing is a bit odd I guessed and got lucky with the size.

I’m only a leisure welly we were but worn them a lot in the last week and awesome except feet get too warm.....had them 4 years and they are brilliant

Aigle make some good normal type boots too

Being a bit sad, I have accrued a collection of wellington boots and thus feel qualified to offer an informed opinion.

From L-R:

Joules wellies bought for the other half. Absolutely terrible, lasted about a month before letting water in. Bought for fashion, not practicality, £45 down the drain. She still wears them though as I'm not buying anymore.

Le Chameau with Michelin tread, bought them for £60 through here recently, cotton lined, will be used as a Spring/Summer/Autumn boot. Happy with them at that bargain price (thanks to the seller if reading) and we shall see. Tight to get off though. Chap who works for us has got through two pairs in a couple of years though so hopefully they last longer than that.

Muck Boots Field Blazers, neoprene lined, £75 years ago. Don't wear them much as the lining wore away at the heel very quickly, I have to wear a thick pair of boot socks to mitigate the pain. Although they are comfy (with the extra sock) and warm. Grip is shocking.

Dunlop Purofort Thermo Plus, £75. Best made boot of the lot, great grip and never get cold feet. No need for extra socks. Only problem is that they are really, really heavy and by Spring I can't wait to get out of them.

Hope that helps!
