There was a thread for Christmas breakdowns.
In the spirit of moving on.........
This morning, no staff appeared, no worries, only 6 or so hours of stock work before the end of the day, as long as nothing goes wrong;-
So far,
A sow died in a feeder in the night, other sows, frustrated with lack of access (there are 2 feeders for 100 of them) have broken the back gate - extensive dismantling, straightening, welding and reassembly ahead. Getting a 200kg+ sow out of a feeder on your own isn't too bad with a wire strainer.
Then the overhead auger in there stops with a squealing of belts, never done that before in 25 years...
disassembly of the boot eventually revealed a stone caught in the flight.
No idea how that got in there.
Came in for a coffee at that point, who knows what else has gone wrong out there?
