Yep mad as a box of frogs.
I don't know why anyone would get tested if that is the result.
One positive is when case numbers rise they'll be too many people to lock away until they test negative.
I can't believe NZ has got away with refusing to let its own overseas citizens come home unless they have an MIQ spot - which is very hard to get- and if you test positive or are suspected of having Covid, you're taken away from your home and locked up.
Health officials have said they're not prepared, don't have enough beds or nurses and the new treatments haven't been approved or bought yet.
Only had 2 feckin years.
Muppets.

Funny how easy it is for some people yet others can’t get a spot. A friends daughter shifted back from Australia after getting a job in the ED of the local hospital. Took her ages to get a spot despite being a fully qualified nurse and a kiwi. You’d think they’d figure out a nurse might be handy now

Watched a young band called Fickle Friends last Thursday night. Tonight am off to see The Stranglers in the Engine Shed, Lincoln and tomorrow night a rescheduled Shed Seven in Rock City Nottingham. Funny old world.
People hailed Oz and NZ for locking down etc at the beginning of the pandemic but it's not looking quite so good for them now. as been said it will only be in a few years time that the best response can be judged

Come on then genius, flag up your posts and the public statements of any leading politician that gave exactly the right courses of action in time for them to be taken, i.e. without the benefit of hindsight...

I wouldn't say Boris has played a blinder, but I do think he's done as well as anyone could have in such a situation - without having that thing the self-righteously critical obviously possess, hindsight.

We all knew Liverpool should not have play a Spanish team. I knew I had tickets I didn’t go. We all knew the Cheltenham festival shouldn’t have gone ahead. I knew I had tickets for the Thursday I didn’t go. He shut us down 4-5 days late. It had a big effect on the overall length of the lock down and influenced our responses as a nation of four countries to what followed.
that poor decision had meant the countries of this nation with left wing governments were given a free pass to totally over react and get no push back because round one was worse than it had to be.

But , no one is safe until everyone has been jabbed or had it

Lockdowns don't work , they postpone the inevitable
