I can see what you mean - they're going to have to make room for somebody else coming in so it might ruffle a few feathers.Is this good or bad for one of our local marts, is a kick in the teeth for the young lads currently running the show and on the face of it doing an excellent job
What you will get though is a very good cattle auctioneer. A very good eye for value. Watch him sell for a few weeks - where he wants to start is nearly always where he finishes. When he's in the rostrum, he's in charge and is not frightened of taking the buyers on. Has a very dim view of Defra, Trading Standards, etc and is not frightened of telling them so.
Maybe you could say he's a bit like Marmite.
You might find he pulls in more stock so there's plenty for the other guys too. Only time will tell.
