Had a grand day today.
Spotted @Nearly s car, failed to get hold of him on his phone...

Bought a bit of fordson Major in the autojumble, damn near killed myself carrying it all the way across the field to the carpark.

Saw some friends, ate expensive food.

Found a tractor for @REStracTORATION

Despite having to queue for 2 miles to get in, many people turned up for a day in the sunshine.
Edit - I even managed to get a pic of @Drillman dragging a small boy out of the Ripoff Farm Services tent. 'You don't want one of those green ones'.
Yes the small boy had to drag me away from that lovely silver 7810 parked between the 8340 and 7000.

Apparently even a mint 7810 comes a poor second to an ice cream:hungry:;)

@Nearly can't you tell us about things nearer home?
Well worth a ride out if your into tractors. I haven't been for a few years and it's grown in that time. Nice setting as well and a laid back atmosphere. Newby Hall gardens are worth a visit as well. You could let Mrs Multipower wander round there when she gets bored of tractors.

edit - big playground in the gardens for multipower junior as well(y)

You expect me to actually stay over, and pay money for it? Have you not read the tightarse thread? Mind you I suppose it would be downhill coming home
Take Mandy and the kids for a nice romantic couple of days to Witby, home of heartbeat, then couple of days in York, see the minster take the kids to Eden camp and digger land, then call at Newby hall end of the week,
there you get to eat the best fish and chips in the uk, get to play on diggers, and see the best out door tractor show, kids are happy, and other half will see the nice area of Whitby and York with a bit of sight seeing,
mark it on the calendar for next year,

What is there to see around Whitby, as in where heartbeat was filmed?
We would like to go to train museum, must be near 30 years since either of us were there
Moors are worth a ride over or a walk on on a nice day, just a generally picturesque area. Best thing to do is look at a map and get off the main through roads onto the smaller ones.

Whitby is your typical seaside town a bit quaint and as said lots of good fish eateries. Further up the coast you have several more nice little seaside villlages such as runswick bay, staithes and south of whitby, robin hoods bay. All worth a visit.

If you like trains there is the moors railway from pickering to whitby. Parts of it were used for the train scenes in the harry potter films.

Plenty of good pubs over on the yorkshire wolds as well for a meal out and if you get in the right places the views over the vale of york are impressive;)
