With all the Industries and Jobs that are involved in and around Agriculture, I'm amazed the powers that be can't put their heads together to build a long-term sustainable College system.

Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Care & Management, Steel erection and building, Plant and Equipment, LANTRA, NPTC, CCS, Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, Equine, Game Keeping, Conservation, Renewable Energy, Leisure, Hospitality and Countryside activities etc, etc, etc, etc, etc !!!!

By the end of this week I will have dealt with 4 different members of college staff reference employing an apprentice.

Seems like a high cost system to me?

Hear wildriggs have bought the college and dairy farm. Massive massive shame. 2 of the best years of my life. Great hill farming courses, great lecturers, great friends, great rugby team, great memories.
Newton Rigg deserved a lot better than this. We whipped all the northern colleges at rugby in the early 90s.
Askham Bryant should hang there heads in shame at the way they've asset stripped a British treasure. Hope it comes back to bite the buggers on the arse.

I only lived 45 mins away so only went drinking on Thursdays in Penrith then stayed at mates but in hindsight wish I’d stayed on campus! Blues on a Thursday was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Blues, toppers and gems in the early 90s. Good time. B and E and mustaffers where I experienced my first kebab ha ha

Blues closed down in my 2nd year which was a terrible loss 😢 bloody good place let you in under 18 but put a black X on your hand with dry wipe marker that washed off straight away then you could get served 😂😂 sold Newcastle brown ale too! Whole place surrounded in mirrors so if nobody would dance with you, you could dance with yourself…
