Very simple

What options would people like to see added to the second round of the Farming Equipment & Technolgy Fund having now seen the list for the first round? Just thought it would be a good idea to have a place to pool ideas for next time.

Rules;

1. List your suggestion and briefly why you think it improves productivity, efficiency etc. Please do not comment on other people's suggestions.

2. Keep it to the same themes as the current round. I.E no big infrastructure projects or things which are off farm. It should be pieces of equipment which support productivity, efficiency, resource use etc on ones own farm. Items probably should be £50K max but no hard rule there.

3. Any abuse towards individuals or Defra will not be tolerated. Everyone has the right to their suggestion and Defra are just doing their job regardless of your opinion on that.

Finally I have no affiliation with Defra or the scheme, personally or professionally. I just thought it was a good idea. If you don't think it's a good idea please just don't comment!

Smaller, farm scale tractor/loader mounted machinery* for windrow composting of FYM and indeed, any other materials. The justification being a valuable aid to improving OM/Carbon in soils.

From my individual perspective the EA ruling on Autumn/Winter applied FYM on grassland is a big issue going forward, as it cannot be safely applied in Spring without contamination issues... Composted can be appled anytime!

*Not pitched at large Contractor kit, really.
