Just not sustainable to be locking everything down for 2+ years!

By then there will be no clothes/ supplies of parts etc for anyone and then what?

Might find a vaccination ? ? Soon ?

Any large scale production of a vaccine is at least 12 months away, then by the time you vaccinate the people who they decide to vaccinate, they are sure its working etc etc it will be at least another 6 months.

So you are talking 18 months at least so autumn 2021 before they even consider lifting any full on lockdown so given the timing they will prob delay any easing of rules until the following spring so April 2022?

That is what people who are calling for a full lock down don't understand, they all think : shut everything down, stay indoors 2/3 weeks and then it will be lifted and life can carry on like normal again but that will be far from the case.

Thus why shutting everything down is the worst thing they can do on every front as its just not sustainable for that length of time!

I tend to agree but how do you curb the clowns who either have no common sense or couldn`t care less?

If caught breaking something like for example the 2 meter rule for no good reason then put them on a list of people who will get NO medical treatment for ANY illness be that for the virus/ heart attack/ dentist etc, that will make most of them stop and think about what they are doing.

The virus will kill the elderly and others with underlying illness.
The economic crash will kill all ages of society and definitely an unintended consequence. I wonder if they'll put the deaths down to Corona or suicide since Corona will be the cause same as people now dying from Corona yet are suffering with an illness.

Don't be fooled that you are not at risk of serious harm from this virus! Once this cases exceeds the NHS capacity to provide treatment, and it will be in about 2 weeks, it will kill all ages of society! Yes if you are healthy you have perhaps a 1% chance in needing hospital treatment rather than the 40% chance if high risk but if you are in the 1% someone will have to decide who to ventilate... will you be saved as someone else's parent or child is left in the carpark to suffocate to death?

I know full well I am at risk the same as everyone else. You didn't see up Snowdon Saturday mixing with rest of the population out for a nice stroll in the sunshine.

But I do think a lot are going to die and that could be you me or anyone else. We can't pretend we can save them all as I don't believe we can. People need to take more responsibility for themselves.

If we don't slow down the doubling rate of infection we wont have to worry about cancelling shooting as in 2 months everyone in the country will either be in recovery or in the ground....

In a lot of cases the beaters wagon will be an enclosed trailer, they will eat together and have a drink together afterwards , to many older chaps beating is a social event and the risks would soon be forgotten
The numbers present a fairly high and unnecessary risk at today's figure but a year without shoot income will mean the end for many gamekeepers
