Did you expect more detail and vision of the future in such a public forum? Would be awful PR if said something the audience found controversial!
He could have thrown us a bone with the three crop derogation though.
Thought Minette had an excellent conference, had a brief chat with her on the way in this morning and felt she pitched her questions just right.
She seemed exhausted during her closing speech and like she said, we don’t want to burn our bridges with the Minister so early in negotiations. Humiliating him on the stage would not have been any good long term.

Minette of course stays as President
Stuart Roberts as Deputy
Tom Bradshaw as Vice

I would like to thank @Guy Smith for all the engagement with both NFU members and non members on this forum.
A refreshing change to have an office holder engaging in discussions on TFF

Congratulations to those that are now tasked to lead UK ag through the most significant changes in decades!

Hi, yes I was somewhat surprised he did not have that little bone ready to throw given that the 3 Crop Rule has so often been quoted by Leavers such as Patterson / Gove et al as a typical example of idiotic EU bureaucracy.

And here we are with most of the arable country suffering poor sowing no one has seen before, the UK having left the EU, so out of its grasp, a strong pro Brexit Conservative Party in power with a strong Euro skeptic Minister in Eustace. What better - and he fails to bring that little bit of bone to the party. Made me wonder what he is about but then I do not rate him as particularly bright or intellectual. Hey ho.

I attended
I thought Minette was brilliant she is just just the president we need She held the ministers feet to the fire this morning
I think she was taken aback at her standing ovation after her closing address
The highlights for me was the work of the schools education team Especially when the kids and teachers came on stage. This is money well spent
Professor Myles Allen gave a very interesting paper.and was an engaging speaker His response to Andrew Loftus question on the BBC CO2 calculator should be used to challenge the BBC
A very well run conference as usual
Pity I didn’t come on here and arrange a meet. It would have been great to have a drink with a few from Tff in Walkabout

An excellent, thought provoking and at times challenging couple of days. George Eustice definitely seems to have had his wings clipped by Number 10.

Minette was superb.

Not for nothing is he known as Useless Eustace by his constituents.... and his Staff.

It's a shame, he was always prepared to come and engage on here defend his position and with good humour.

Did he lose to Tom Bradshaw, or the other chap? What do either of them bring to the table that Guy Smith didn't?
Lost to the other chap, I've never heard of.

Although I don't remember receiving a ballot paper.
