NFU Email - Cropping Intentions

Just had an email from NFU regarding a cropping intentions survey.

On the one hand I partly admire them for asking their members for their input. On the other hand, given their recent activity I'm very reluctant to give them any true information at all. They seem so wedded to Red Tractor and the supermarkets that I'm pretty sceptical that providing commercially sensitive information would be used for the benefit of representing their farming members.

I fully recognise that the NFU can only represent members as best as possible if they have the information and views of their members and I would be happy to provide this IF they had shown me that they can be trusted.

The NFU urgently needs to assess the impact the appalling situation in Ukraine and input cost inflation might be having on the remainder of this cropping year and the potential changes to your plans for the next cropping year.

My thoughts are like @Steevo why give the other party in a deal all the information as to supply or potential supply.
