Guy- very engaging and clear. Good with farmers and when appearing on the media. Minette seems ok but not sufficiently persuasive.

Richard Bower- very capable and hard working, has already represented the NFU next Gen at European level.

When I’ve talked to them Guy seems to be a “doer”, Minette seems to be a “talker”.

It seems to be the world we’re currently living in talkers win.

However in saying that I think both could move the NFU on a bit and be good for industry but I’m afraid the stronger candidate will lose IMO.

ok
it had crossed my mind that @Guy Smith would win a poll on here because he is brave [or silly] enough to come on TFF ;)

Kind of where I was going with it. But we need a new breed in the NFU who are happy to engage and understand social media and how it can help the NFU (and in turn all farmers). They should all be on here to at least canvas how farmers think, if Michael Gove reads TFF then they certainly should.

I’m sure they will be aware of what is ranted about on here, if only from Guy telling them. It never ceases to amaze me, how many people comment about posts on here, even though they’re not members.

Given the sh*te thrown at @Guy Smith when he does stick his head above the parapet on here, I really can’t see how regular postings by the office holders at NFU would be particularly productive tbh.:scratchhead:

TFF as it stands wouldn't be the place but that don't mean that something couldn't be done, members only, have to use your own name etc could soon cut out the messing about
