These two seem similar power and weight .
Which would be the best performer and most reliable?
I'm not interested in brand slagging or loyalty just honest
appraisals ,thanks.

John Deere brakes seem ok on 50k as long as the trailers are maintained.
Have you had any problems on your New NH?

No. Honestly haven't. We changed from JD to NH in 2011. Had medium range clutch packs go on power command gearbox on a 7050. That's been biggest problem. Got a t7 200 2015 with 6k hours, t7 190 we bought this year. Sold 7050 with about 8k hours if I remember correctly.

I've got a t7 260 with auto command it's done 3300 hours now. Its a really good gearbox. Just not as smooth as auto power. Was sat in a 6195r at local dealers this week when looking at a bit of machinery and just felt a much better finished tractor. If the equivalent new Holland was 20k cheaper I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. But with better finish and residuals I would pay extra for a Deere.

We've a excellent NH dealer locally and this also influences buying decisions.

NH and JD are the two tractors I’ve spent most of my time on. Experiences show reason I changed my T6080 to a 6140R was the running costs. The NH of that size is very under engineered (50k bearing, damper plate, electric spools)
The JD is a much nicer place to spend the day, I’ve M.E. So need something that doesn’t tire me or have to work harder to keep it repaired. A service (doing myself was cheaper). Spec for spec new I think it’s about 20k difference I believe you’ll spend a portion of that on repairs and the rest the Deere will hold on second hand values.
the LWB NH’s are better than the swb ones.
But I’ll stay Deere for my main tractor.
