NH 7840 sldp

Did not realise that a digital dash was used on sldp. Does it have a 2 speed pto?PTO working ok on above tractor but speed display not showing on dash. Engine speed showing ok, just no PTO rpm. (full digital dash btw). Is there a speed sensor on these or where does the PTO rpm reading come from?

What happens if you try and change pto speed readout by touching button on dash, if you have a 2 speed shiftable pto they should have a switch on lever in cab, speed on dash is a theoretical reading computed from engine speed sensor and because that's ok it points toward lever switch, never had this problem, is the pto light coming on dash ?.there is a possibility the wire from pto module to main harness connector is bad so dash is not getting signal.

I haven't looked at it yet. Neighbour's tractor. I'd guess he has pressed the button on the dash but probably not moved the speed selector lever. Could be a broken wire somewhere again as Mr Rat visited a small part of the wiring loom and I repaired those wires. He has maybe been back since! I thought there may have been a PTO sensor but I can rule that out...

Yes Pete,digi was available,it has 2 speed selectable pto and EDC hydraulics.Did not realise that a digital dash was used on sldp. Does it have a 2 speed pto?
Had a quick look today and the button on the dash for pto speed doesn't do anything. Doesn't even beep.All the rest beep when pressed. The light on the dash comes on ok when the selector lever is moved to 1000 rpm.
