NH CX windscreen replacement cost?

A crack has appeared on the combines windscreen, no idea how it’s happened as nothing noticeable has hit it.
The crack is about 6 inches long and starts at the pillar where door is hinged. It has not grown after 2 more days of use.
Any idea how much a replacement is, and should I get insurance involved?

We had a crack appear in a TX66 wrap around windscreen. IIRC it was £800 for the glass plus fitting (a specialist team came to the farm) so it was definitely an insurance job, but I don't think it even triggered the £50 glass 'excess' payment.

Had the same on last cx sure cnh have had issues as it was getting done under warranty but never got done as glass was available but the fitting team needed scaffolding erected to do the job

I had exactly this. Insurance job. Auto glass. All sorted pretty quickly. £50 excess.

Our TX windscreen has got a couple of cracks in it, I was told years ago that the big curved screen was mega money, so have been watching v carefully so see if they get bigger.
Last year I was told that if the door hinge gets very stiff it will flex the cab frame, causing the cracks. So now the door hinges have a grease nipple in them and move super smoothly!
Since doing that, the cracks don't appear to have got any bigger. (Touching wood frantically!)

My previous TX64 had a crack in the screen starting at the bottom right hand side and going upwards. Its never grew more than about 6 inches long over the next few years so i just left it alone.

I cant remember a recent cab glass replacement on a NH but in the back of my mind I recall one a few years ago being over £2000. I have seen them crack over winter on older machines where left outside or in open sided buildings after a period of pro longed frost. Why anyone would want to leave it out over winter I dont know.
