NH T7 Cross shaft leak

Noticed the cross shaft dripping oil yesterday. Is it going to be expensive or is there a seal in there that might be to blame ?

There is a seal, could replace it for a start. Most likely the cross shaft is worn and this is what's causing seals to fail.

There's a upgraded cross shaft with bigger splines its meant to last longer. Have to replace both drop arms too. Imagine this is expensive. My 17 plate one got them done under warranty at just under 3 years old. Haven't had any problems since.

I would hope its not worn, its 19 plate 315 with 1300 odd hours on the clock

What work is it doing? There's bushes that wear and the tell tale is normally the seals leaking. Although still being fairly fresh it could be a nipped seal.

My crosshaft bushes were worn at 5k hours but I think it had done a lot of heavy linkage work before I bought it.

Spent most of its time since harvest on a 6m mounted Claydon. Spoke to the dealers fitter this morning, he suspects a seal, sounds like they’ve done a few of them

Wouldn't worry our 7030 leaks like a sieve even after having new shaft seals and bushes. Common problem.

Get them too put 2 seals in per side helps
