NH TS115 Mowers

Two questions:
  • What type and size of a mower would suit our ts115 turbo
  • What way would you go about fitting a front linkage to a ts115

Mower or mower conditioner? A TS 115 turbo will power 3 metres of either but I'd go trailed if you want a mower conditioner.

A front linkage just bolts on. If you're buying second hand make sure you get the side plates with the linkage and use new bolts.

Personally I would forget the idea of going front and backs on your tractor. The chaff, seeds, grass and dust will have it boiled.

As said, mounted mower can fairly swing a 5 ton tractor about.

A trailed 3.2 meter Mo/Co with a Giro head will draw 150hp and probably work your tractor as hard as you would be comfortable with.

Drove ts 115 with a jd 1365 with giro headstock. She drove it comfortably enough. Mower could of worked a bit faster but i like mowin a wee bit slower as its easier on man and machine. Not a nh fan but i enjoyed drivin her as wasnt big clumsy tractor and had a great cut. Id actually prefer mowin with it than a tm

TS/40 series linkage, cross shaft and top cover are not really suitable and strong enough for 3m or 3.2 centre pivot type moco though allthough they will run them no problem. TS would really suit a 3m trailed

3m trail mower and flat to the mat. will get just as much (if not more) knocked down as you would struggling with front and backs. you will also get a lot more grass through a 3m trailed than you would a 3m mounted. years ago i used to drive a jd 1360 on 120hp and it would knock down grass a fair bit faster than the contractors 3m mounted moco (which was on 160hp). no doubt there will be even better trail mowers on the market nowadays.

I found the opposite, we’ve just traded in our Krone 3200cv trailed, found it was a heavy numb thing. Once we got a front mower too it was way too cumbersome. Always assumed also that as your “pulling it” along as well as driving it it needed more power.
Demo’d a mounted and it was a revaluation and perfect match for the front one. It arrives tomorrow actually :D

Ts115 and a Jd 1365 is a fine combo.

We run 7840 and 7840 turbo on a Kuhn 3m trailed. Seems a good match.
Can't see the need for more power except on the steepest stuff.

Few round here running front back outfits with JD 6155R, my 78 turbo is very well tuned up but I think two Mo co's on a slope might be pushing it.
