NH95 Jacks no power

The Jacks on my digger have no power and are really slow to suck back up. All other hydraulic functions are working fine.
I’m guessing it’s these pressure valves that need adjusting. Has anyone else had to do it?

Havent had that problem, mine wore the metal pipe up the side of the ram out, had to drop the whole leg out to fix.
On mine the jack legs and something else (cant remember) are on a seperate 3 slice spool block. Guessing there might be a pressure relief in there?
Had a bit of rubber hose stick in my crowd slice and jam it open slightly before, changed any pipes lately?
Not a lot of help, sorry!

The picture is a double in line pressure relief valve. I think it must be that. Just seeing if anyone else had tried before I send PRV springs flying everywhere

Are you sure that's a pressure relief valve? I'd expect those valves are to keep the cylinder from moving without pressure. That is if a hose blows. But, I'd also expect them to be mounted on the cylinder itself, not remote, maybe not enough room inside the stabilizer.

That style of stabilizer is easy to get packed full of dirt, or rust built up causing them to be tight. That's what I'd check first. Not a lot of help here either, just what I'd expect, sorry.

You could be right. The digger is ex water authority so has check Valves retrofitted on all the front loader and back actor rams.
The leg is clean. It’s something hydraulic that is the issue.

Most backhoe stabilizers will have the check valves. (counterbalance valves) The ones that are added to govt machines will be the others like you said.

That one goes to the one cylinder, so not likely that they are both out of adjustment or broken. Unless it was done intentionally.

I'd like to know if those are found on other NH backhoes, that model or any other. OR if they were added by the former owner. They do look suspiciously like adjustable relief valves like you say, I just don't know why that would be done.

It was one leg only that went slow to start with then the other slowed up a bit later so it could be these blocks are the smallest orifice in the system and are gradually catching Shyte.

Don't think mine has that valves, will check tomorrow when I remember where its sitting!
Guessing that it's a retrofit on yours.
For some reason I seem to think that the third service on the front uses that 3 slice block, is it working OK ? I'll look at that tomorrow too.

Just had a crawl about under mine.

I have no check valves to be seen on that pipes.
The pipes are metal then rubber direct to the 3 slice spool block in front of the rear axle.
The spool is bowden cable connected to the levers on wing for jacks and pedal for extending dipper arm.

There is what looks to be a pressure relief valve on that block, wondering if thats maybe your bother, is the extending arm slow too?
The front and main back ones are fed seperately, so wont be affected.

I took one of the PRV blocks off this morning, cleaned it out and set it a little bit tighter. Works a charm now. Just hope I haven’t set it too aggressive, but if normal diggers don’t have one it should be ok.

Pretty sure that block is on our 75 as we had an oil leak there years ago.

Have you had any bother with the main joystick for front boom? Ours now likes to click into power down mode instead of into float from time to time. Will need to get end cap off for a look
