"Nicola Sturgeon accuses UK ministers of power grab over farm subsidies"

No, you're just getting your knickers in a twist. The extension in 2015 was a Scottish Government decision, not an EU decision. DEFRA also extended the deadline in England to June, but iirc NI and Wales did not. It was not EU wide, and I never said it was... (FFS)

You're confusing the 2015 and 2016 claims. No loans in 2015 :finger:

But the deadline could only be put back, by allowance from the EU.

Your right enough - 2015 was a late payment.

But 15months late?? You must have only just got it now??

What changed?!

Why do you think we were given TAX raising powers? Oh aye - we can put TAX up, or freeze it... but if we put it up, we can never bring it down at a later date.

Aslong as Westminster hold our purse strings they can keep cutting the revenue - we generate Inthe first place - they give us back. Their answer is simple: "put your taxes up then if you want more".

England will benefit whilst we pay twice. That's what's changed.

See what Canada did to Quebec for what Westminster will do here.

What has she achieved? she probably has one of the easiest jobs in politics, when she fudges up, she blames westminster and the lemmings lap it up, compared to TM, she's barely been tested at the real level.

Some probably won't like it, but she's a Scottish Farage

TM has yet to be put to the test, but when it starts to get rough it will be interesting to see how many of her ministers are hiding below deck.

What else did you think was going to happen when the oil price sunk, how are you going to fill that black hole?

Shes going to get a nasty shock next elections, Ruth Davidson is proving very very good opposition, if anyone can persuade Scotland to vote Tory its her.
The strongest leg the SNP have to stand on is galvanizing the Scottish electorate and demonising the Tories

Ah independence!
Can't wait to take our place as a proud nation among the fellow basket cases in the EU.
What's that I hear? Membership contribution? We thought having oil reserves would be enough to get us in.
Thought our plaintive cry 'Don't desert us' that time in the parliament had been enough to tug on EU heartstrings.
Now we'll have to start our own currency. Wonder what we should call it.
Never mind, we can have our own armed forces just like other proud nations. We'll have thousands of administrators backing up a modern military of about 100 front line service personnel. All those jobs we can create, brilliant!
Wonder how many of the 4 guys sitting at a table in the local will be on government salaries. Could it be 3?
Number 4 better get his act together then!
Now, just to show we're not parochial, lets invite all the asylum seekers in the world here. We've plenty of space in the Hebrides and we'll show the world how outward looking we are.
A few years ago we didn't know where the Middle East was, not any more, we're big time now!

I'm getting fed up writing this crap so I'm going to bed.
Won't sleep now. I'll be tossing and turning trying to think of a name for the new currency.

Your being silly now, the uk would be bankrupt if not for the torys, they pick up the bits after labour everytime, as for your beloved snp they just a passing phase in the big picture.
The tories have doubled the debt that labour left behind.
And the uk total debt is now 1000 % of gdp thanks to the financial debt from the city of london and pfi.
Compared to england, scotland is very solvent

But, but, wasn't it the EU that fudged everything up.
Nought to do with domestic policies or governments. Neither Tories or Labour have been able to do anything without permission from the mainland in Brussels. How can you guys be so churlish as to blame your own politicians when everyone and his dog knows it was Verbumbstadt et al is to blame
