More night row production today, expecting up to 60mm of rain if the doom mongers are to be believed.

Cut Saturday, still in mower rows when I started today.

That makes solid sense on sea mist/fog...

I will row up a crop the night before when its an overcast and heavy forecast for the night.

look mate, what was good for my Great Grandfather is good enough for me :):):)

Actually my Great Grandfather is supposed to have made a lot of money in WW1 selling hay to the army, not sure if we should be proud of that or not:unsure:

As long as it was for the British Army, you can be proud.
Though, if he was making mouldy, ragwort infested hay for the Germans, I suppose we could admire him for that too..

I cant do day rows .its blowing away

Maybe time to invest in an Acrobat!!!! The rows are nicely anti blow...

If it's that fluffy, get the baler going this afternoon...

I went through some cut before the deluge a 2nd time at 1pm today and was disappointed to still see a bit of green coming up, but bearing in mind how wet the land was/is, it's hardly a surprise! Maybe this evening... else it'll be night rows!!

Some of it is but we've still got rows that we're shifting twice a day. Rain forecast for tomorrow so we'll wrap it this afternoon
Bummer!

Though I might get my first hay tonight, but still a lot of damp green stuff, so I have rowed up to allow the ground to dry a bit, and will move it in the morning. Tempting to warp it, but that quality hardly justifies the cost of the wrap...

It is better with drier grass and an experienced operator helps a bit
I’ve just bought a second hand one to replace two old haybobs. Do a fair bit of night swathing if catchy weather . Do have a rake for rowing up . Not picked it up yet so time will tell how we get on with it . Any tips for making tidier row if rowing up for baler for Hay ?
