Night time Drones

Last 3 nights I’ve spotted a drone flying/hovering over our yard at about 6pm. (In darkness) only for a minute or so then its gone has anyone else ever witnessed this? Seems very suspicious!

Have you not got a shotgun, mind you I think the hare coarsing brigade have been using them around here,so if you did that you may not have a yard to fly over on the 4th night

Do you have neighbours close by? If you do it might be nothing more than a kid trying out there birthday present after school. However if you don't and the fact its in the dark at 6pm makes it sound very suspicious. If you do have neighbours perhaps a quick chat with some of them might shed some light on the matter.

There is a framework there under Air aviation law, Ill see if I can fish it out. I don't think your allowed to fly it over other peoples property. Night time or dark is very suspicious.

I think for this reason, farmers should be allowed to report the incident and then on next occurance 'take it out of the sky'.

Not supposed to flying them over people's property without the landowners permission according to the "drone code". If they are ignoring that then I dare say they don't have a professional operator's licence or have passed the test that came in last year and is now a legal requirement. It might be the police operating it though if there have been problems with hare coarsers. Operator could be several miles away so if it were to encounter some stray lead shot it would be hard to prove anything.

Be careful shooting one down....
If they have a camera on it & it’s recording they will still be able to view the film up to it being splattered?
