defo not the 2.2 ranger,3.2 are good but 2.2 steer well clear.
The only navaras i have seen all have ad blue/dpf faults that nissan don't seem to be able to fix.

2.2 from 2015 on or that have had their oil pump modified are fine. Its the engine used in the last few years of LR Defender production and there are no complaints from their owners about the engine. Mine has 70,000 hard miles of farm work on it now and the only sign of wear is that the plastic trim paint has worn through to the plastic underneath in places and the steering wheel leather has worn through on part of the rim. It isn't the cheapest on fuel but uses no more than previous LR's or the Land Cruiser of mine and apart from a lethargy when pulling away from a stop, the performance is fine. It regularly pulls at least its maximum allowable trailer weight on some appalling roads, crossing multiple valleys.
