Is it just me but I ve scorched more crops in last 10 days than previous 8 years combined. I know the one Saturday which I mentioned before was plenty hot and bright enough but the rest has been cooler/dull days or I ve started at 4am until 10 /11 ish and stopped . Using dribble bars at 1/1.5 bar but its all tipped Lucky that as late sown , WW its not the flag leaf but the rye is out in ear and it is the flag leaf caught.Guess the crops are growing so fast to catch up and for some reason not waxing up as usual ??

Put last bit on late last week giving a total of approx 145units/acre or180 kgN/ha.First wheats on good soils which also had about 2.5 tons of poultry manure in the autumn.Any more N and i reckon we would struggle to keep it standing. All feed wheats consisting of Siskin,Graham and Evolution with a small field of Zyatt.

If we had had a bit less rain in March/April I think we would of been on for some really cracking yields. It's been perfect heavy land weather here for the last few weeks, hot, dry and wall to wall sun
