NMR IT issues

Anyone else waiting for milk recording or other data back? They had a major virus problem a few days ago. Our payment test has been texted and emailed back but no milk recording data which is a bit annoying as we want the SCCs for selective dry cow therapy. Supervisor said she thought they were back on top of things, but herd companion is a bit hit and miss today as well.

NMR systems always seem to be hit and miss lately especially herd companion. Got a dodgy email from my area rep and they were locked out of their emails, hard to understand why hackers would target a company like NMR. Presumably it’s some kind of ransomeware virus?

Still waiting for Essential Sampling results from 13th Nov, though I don't think they actually reached the lab till the 21st (which is a separate annoyance!) We also need the results for drying off @Princess Pooper

Seems to be an NMR problem rather than NML, as we are still getting payment test results. I first started chasing the results on Weds morning, and last spoke to a lady at NMR on Friday afternoon who was very apologetic, and sounded thoroughly fed up. They have had a virus so can't get into their computer system. They can't post results as they send those by email to a print office. It's another nail in the coffin for us as far as using NMR is concerned. Earlier in the year we waited over two weeks for Neospora results because they didn't have any test kits in the lab!

pee poor nmr been waiting from last Saturday nite for cell counts results
Told the woman by the time I get the results they'll be out of date!

Picked pots up from QMMS last Thurs dropped them back at 10am next day ,had results by 3.30 same day

I understand that problems happen but why are there no updates, seems like they can use their social media feeds for advertising but not for anything that’s actually useful like updates on system outages.

*looks at clock, “16:55 Friday, sod it, i’ll leave turning it off and back on again, it can wait til Monday, all the dairy farmers will be knocking off in 5 minutes they won’t need HC or any of their milk quality reports”......*

Rang help desk this morning with a query about Uniform software . Said they were unable to log on to my computer using team viewer as they usually do. They got Uniform's help desk to ring me to sort the problem out.

Getting bloody ridiculous now! Had a iffy bactoscan (40) on the last sample we have had, could be 27376383 by now! Waiting to see what ration changes have done to solids aswell! Rang NML and they can’t even give you quality report over the phone!
