NMR IT issues

I must admit, for an organisation as large and as IT based as NMR/NML, this is a horrendous to have succumbed to 2 virus incidents in a relatively short space of time. Especially when things like antibiotic testing are so important to the industry. They are hoping to run payment tests tonight.

Does that mean samples taken since last sat are not going to get tested?

Having a meeting at 2pm this afternoon, accordong to the lady at nmr. What good are more meetings, when there are experts out in the IT filed who could solve this problem in 48hrs or less.

There are companies around with computer systems that would make NMRs look like a abacus, said companies would have hacking attacks/viruses all the time that may cause them to be down for a few minutes and would still cost them millions in lost revenue, NMR know they can just carry on taking everyones monthly fee regardless of how long systems are down for.

its just like the old days when the first you knew about high cell counts was when you received your milk statement in the middle of the following month, hard to imagine nowadays when you get yesterdays collection results via a text at 6am the following day.
