our test from Friday pickup came through OK yesterday evening, email and text (as usual for us) an the data looks realistic.

Considering their system is responsible for the quality control and therefore payment for most of the countries milk supply it’s hard to believe they don’t have a back up that can be rolled out quickly, wonder how much this will cost them in lost revenue/contracts.

Having no first buyer, we send samples in ourselves to NML. Usually a very fast service, but sampled and posted last Monday, results came yesterday. Still waiting on coli test results. When Jersey milk comes back at 1.something% bf you start to doubt the result. If it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't have known what was going on.

You would nearly think somebody from NML just might have thought about having a manual results system or stand alone system (apart from Darren going solo against the world after 10 days down time) which they could implement within 24hrs in the event of a problem.
Sort of like a dairy farm having a PTO generator in the back of the shed style of rocket science idea.

Fortnight since milk recording, some high cell count cows can’t believe their luck they are still alive. Just spoken to customer services, latest update is no end in sight. I am not expecting NML to survive this. Not many companies can go a fortnight without any output. I am sure their competitors are aware of the situation and know the phone numbers of the processors. There must be dozens of companies testing food products.

Darren's still doing well, another email from him today I hope he's being paid overtime!
