Big baler man was phoning yesterday. He reckoned it was going to kick off in Englandshire week after next.

Or was hoping!🤦‍♂️🤣 Got 2 vans and service crews coming to Scotland next week.

Saw the first stubble today, in fact several fields here were cut, baled and cleared. It was standing on Monday when I went through but gone today. It's an early bit of ground but I don't think I've ever seen it done in June.

There are a couple of fields at Atherstone-on-Stour just south of Stratford on the A3400 that looked to me like White flowered Linseed that had swaths of Combined straw last Saturday evening!

going in suffolk at 15%
I have harvested Winter Barley in Suffolk in late June 1994. I’d been driving a Pea lorry taking them to Birdseye in Lowestoft the night before and started Combining the following afternoon. It was 13%.

We will be into it next week, just got back from Norfolk show and sitting in the garden enjoying a cold beverage and the inconsiderate sod next door has decided to make a start View attachment 1046232
Well I hope you threw the beer up in the air and made a dash for the combine shed with a deck chair still tangled round your legs, while on the phone to the baler contractor to get his arse here pronto.

Let the season of FW yabber start. The annual revolving door of the quietly pleased yields of "we were expecting it to be dead on the blown sand but think we're going to have to buy a new grainstore". Does noone In the press ever cut corn over 15 percent in England? Or have yields under 4t/AC?
you will need a bright pair of pink trousers and a smug grin that says I’m a better farmer than you then you will be able to achieve the above.
