Will winter barley be ready next week for this good spell of weather or is it still to early.
I have harvested Winter Barley in Suffolk in late June 1994. I’d been driving a Pea lorry taking them to Birdseye in Lowestoft the night before and started Combining the following afternoon. It was 13%.
going in suffolk at 15%
Well I hope you threw the beer up in the air and made a dash for the combine shed with a deck chair still tangled round your legs, while on the phone to the baler contractor to get his arse here pronto. We will be into it next week, just got back from Norfolk show and sitting in the garden enjoying a cold beverage and the inconsiderate sod next door has decided to make a start View attachment 1046232
you will need a bright pair of pink trousers and a smug grin that says I’m a better farmer than you then you will be able to achieve the above.Let the season of FW yabber start. The annual revolving door of the quietly pleased yields of "we were expecting it to be dead on the blown sand but think we're going to have to buy a new grainstore". Does noone In the press ever cut corn over 15 percent in England? Or have yields under 4t/AC?
