the battery is reading just over 12v. The lights work when I turn them on. But when turning the key, absolutely nothing. It’s like it’s just not doing anything at all.
Cables to the starter look good.
I was working on the fuel filter last week cleaning a blockage out from the tank (blowing back up the line). So wonder if I disconnected something. There was a disconnected cable to the alternator which is back on. Can’t see anything else loose.

wasnt sure if it might be the clutch safety switch, where you can start it without the clutch? Not sure where that is to check though.
Any other ideas welcomed.

Can you cross it and give it a try - find a 24 is a nice fit

A good battery should be reading 13.5 fully charged so. either new battery or alternaator issue

Would the altenator stop it starting at all? No click from starter of anything?

Will the battery run the lights and the cab fan?

a few ights turn on (the only ones that have ever worked) - thats about all there is on the electrics though - the dash has never worked, and a fan is non existent

Well you need a multimeter to see where you have power on the switch and the starter. You might then need to rig up a bulb to check there is a proper connection from the switch to the starter solenoid.
