Oh no he didn't. He said he would if it proved necessary in response to a question from a NI MP. A long long long long way short of what UVDL actually did, and did with out consulting anyone.

Twist, twist, twist away @le bon paysan
What a load of rubbish!
EU cocked up and said so .
Boris said before and Arlene called for the use of a16 before last Friday!
Blaming the EU for the threats on border staff is nothing to do with the vaccine cock up and everything to do with the border in the Irish sea !
The one Brandon says doesn't exist!
The one Boris said there are no customs forms to be filled, throw them in the bin if someone asks you to!
Bunch of liars!

Hes muttering about it again today, by all accounts.
Dont be surprised if there comes a legitimate reason to enact, sometime soon.

Your own source......

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said his Government will have no hesitation in triggering Article 16 of the Northern Ireland Protocol if "disproportionate" problems arise as a result of the Brexit deal.

Mr Johnson made the comments in the Commons yesterday in response to a question from the DUP's Sir Jeffrey Donaldson.

Mmmmmm interesting, wasn't much howling going on when Boris said he would not hesitate to use article 16, just 2 weeks ago!

Bless us all. It’s totally unacceptable that things should change from 1972. The Hillman Avenger was in its heyday! Damn fine car too old boy.
I don`t think it was. I stand to be corrected. Production began in 1970. It was far from the worst car I ever drove and it survived into the Peugot/ Citroen era as the Talbot Avenger.

Proves my point , thank you.
I think it does the opposite.

Boris threatening it today while begging EU to extend implementation of deal.
I just put this in
Why brexit can't work
So much for Sovereignty! Boris is now begging the EU to help with UK internal trade? Did NO ONE in UK Government read what they negotiated? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-p...A_xnVHaPkdM2ZMxiOkM&__twitter_impression=true
I concede you may be right on more of this bit than I would like you to be.

The first sunbeams were Chrysler, so I don’t think there was ever a Talbot avenger

The first Avengers were Hillman(Rootes Group) followed by Chrysler Avengers then at the end the last ones were Talbot Avengers.(Citroen /Peugot).
The first Sunbeams were certainly not Chrysler. My family owned four Sunbeam Talbot models before Chrysler ever set foot in England,

defiantly had a Chrysler sunbeam🤔
I am more confused than ever. A lot was happening around that time and I think, from looking at pictures, the Chrysler Sunbeam was a sports version of the Avenger. I think the problem arises because Sunbeam Talbot were essentially sports or sports saloon cars and Chrysler used these marques to convey sporting heritage. My first car was a Sunbeam Talbot 90 mk2, 2.25 litre single carb, but given time could easily exceed 100mph. The drum brakes were lousy and stopping the monster at those speeds tested the nerves. As the brakes faded you actually felt that you were going faster.

Ah yes, of course, Sunbeam was a Marque before Sunbeam was a model. :nailbiting:

Boris is & has been a total disaster, everything he touch’s seems to go badly. According to one of today’s papers his latest wheeze to save the planet is carbon taxes on meat, cheese & gas central heating, he’s obviously been brain storming with his dotty other half, I don’t think he is going to be much help to us farmers.
