Charolais bull sale has been moved from 12th to the 19th, and I saw this on fb last night.

It's definitely the Charollais in-lamb female sale that's cancelled. Anyone looking for ewes couldn't go far wrong with these from Colin Bowen Gwyndy. Saw them yesterday, they're a tremendous bunch, skins, tops and back ends on them. Real shame for him the sale was cancelled as he was selling all the yearlings that scanned in lamb off the ai date this year. I'm sure that he'll have customers queueing up to buy from home.

Based on the information given about the cancellation of above female sale given to the vendors. The market will be closed for a two week period due to members of staff testing positive for covid-19.

Based on what I have seen in Livestock markets (not Welshpool) over the past few weeks as regards PPE and isolating by staff and customers, it is hardly a surprise!

Just spoke to one of the auctioneers out walking. Hoping to be open the following Monday, but maybe depends how many contacts test positive in the next few days?

I wonder how many will turn up not knowing anyway?

Apparently police were sitting on the roundabout there today, turning infected Englanders away.

Hmmm, looks like I'll need to use the back roads if I go for a bike ride tomorrow then... ;) Looking at some weanlings, you know...

Off the A5 Shrewsbury bypass on the A488 Bishops Castle road, and off into the wilds.... Let's see the Heddlu find me then:censored:

‘looking at some weanlings’ probably won’t cut it. I heard some woman was fined today, after travelling from Leicestershire across to Wales to ‘look at a horse’.

If you can hook a trailer on the back of your bike, I could sell you a lamb if you like.;)

Gotta find me first

Go back to first Lockdown procedures, an empty IBC or straw round bale in the back!! I remember my Finance guy telling me about what seemed like every twincab in and around Llangollen having a bale or two in the back, including some VERY shiny trucks that will never, ever see mud on their alloy rimmed wheels shod with low profiled tyres!:D

No surprise at all dropped lambs off in town on Wednesday had all the letters and warnings off the auctioneers over the last few months about social distancing masks etc only to see one of the auctioneers walking around no mask on and a fag hanging out of his mouth!😡
