Non farming, online only income?

Anyone generate additional income from online only streams? Non farming.

Dont expect anyone to give any secrets away, just curious thats all! Im just looking into a couple of ideas for my better half whilst she is studying fulltime and possibly after graduating. She has 2 towns on our doorstep, one being the home of horse racing (she is equine through and through) and cambridge 20mins away.

Yes, we do.

You could simply be a shop supplying your chosen market, but an online version. Nothing wrong with that, particularly if you can provide a better range of products or the service of home delivery. It works.

Now...

Where you can make real money is by selling something that costs you nothing to reproduce. Digital products - Ebooks, courses, videos etc. Videos and courses have a higher perceived value than Ebooks, even though they could contain the exact same information.

For example, write a guide on how to feed your horse, then sell that guide to 20,000 customers at £19. That starts to add up.

I could write a book on it (maybe I should).

Membership sites where customers pay per month for access to the service also work. Really need ongoing content to keep the member active and paying.

Really inexpensive to set up with lots of software options nowadays...

WordPress, woocommerce, selz, easy digital downloads, wp membership pluggins, teachable, mailchimp, aweber, etc.

The art is in getting the website visitors. No visitors equals no sales. Subscribe to problogger.net and copyblogger will give you a good base knowledge. Research search engine optimization . You need to be an seo expert.
