Hello everyone!

Quick question, are the non genuine TCN boards any good? I have the chance of a set, virtually new, no pitting, smooth, but not super shiny.

I read somewhere that they refuse to scour, but that might be nonsense...

All opinions welcome! :)

All depends on where they have come from, Non genuine come in many forms, I had a set of non genuine on the plough that was stolen, they were either a pan anglia or spaldings replacement boards stamped with the number S678 ( leading me to believe Spaldings) they were as good as TCN 3 K however modern replacements have a bad name, but Fergie ploughman will tell you his Westlake replacement YL 183's were good .

Thanks @Roy Stokes,

I dont know where these started from...

I wont be using them for match ploughing, but for doing a bit of home ploughing. Surely, they wont be that bad... will they?

I have a set I got from Kongskilde. They wii plough but stick on some of the woldish land we have north of here. They are much softer and more pliable than the genuine article and will tend to go round things rather than through. I was never able to get them bright and as such they tended to leave the work looking dull and uninspiring.
Putting genuine boards back on transformed the plough. No problem for allotment ploughing though
