Normal Perm Pasture DM yeilds - how to improve

Ive got alot of PP land that is either free or rented short term - so options to improve are thin on the ground.
THe last 2 years Ive been measuring grass growth, and I typically get 2 grazings a year off, both taking 3000,-3500 kg dm a time. THis gives a yeild of 6t/ha of DM. On my own improved PP I get closer to 9-11 and on overseeded ground 12-17 is not unusual.

Is their any grazing methodology etc I could use to improve the out put of this land? Its normally used to run dry stock and post weaning ewes so does not have to push growth. Given some is rent free due to the low yeild and the rest is only ever on 9 month licence (and at a rent to match) and both Landlords dont understand land / have no interest in improving it, I cant risk or bother putting valuble muck on (Im saving the muck for my own land as I build my indexes upto 3 across everything ) or overseeding it.

The land is all typical rented grazing - indexes between 0-1 and PH 5.5 give or take, mixed grasses on clayish ground.

The difference in a couple of years from rotationally grazing old pp can be quite staggering IME. That said, if you have it on short term lets, as soon as it looks better, the landlord will more rent, or will let it to Johnny Come Lately who offers a bit more.
I have a block of parkland where I can't really subdivide up with electric fencing too, so appreciate that it's not always an option anyway, unless you run big mobs.

To an extent, you are usually better to just keep taking what you can, as you have been, so long as the ground is cheap enough. It's no good doubling the output if it then costs you double, you'll have done all that work for nothing.
