No it’s not. It’s squarely about the Torys and Boris.
Sleaze, do as we say, not as we do. The country is being run by a bumbling idiot that is an embarrassment to the country . They also made a big mistake by not fielding a local candidate
....and yes your right the whole country is fed up of the sleaze etc . They have about 6 mths to clear that up else they will get a right kicking.
They need a leadership change now to get back to the Tory way of government .

A friend sent me a link to a Jethro tribute yesterday.
It was the one about getting off the train at Camborne and I laughed like a drain to that Rip Jethro.
Friend said that he would be up there with Blaster Bates now having a laugh together.
It was then I was reminded about the 'Shower of sh!t over Shropshire'!!

How appropriate was that 😁

What you mean like Bojo thanking Red Wall Labour voters that in his words, He expects they may go back to voting Labour.

Boris didn't win an 80 seat majority.
Nigel broke Labour then pulled his troops and handed the victory to Boris.
A Green Liberal stealing the thunder from another Green Liberal is a pip squeak.
Brexit ain't done with yet.
Expect Nigel to return.

Are you expecting nutty Nige to start demanding the UK is let back into the EU for another go at leaving? 😁

I presume this is a fairly rural area? Maybe a wake up call that if they can't keep hold of the red wall voters they might be in a bit of trouble at the next election as the rural voters aren't happy. If Boris is still leader they certainly be getting my vote and I'm a lifelong Tory.

And why does losing your deposit happen ? Because Maggie tried to stamp out democracy by bringing in the 5% rule. Well it didn't work, because muppets like me and countless others scrape the money together time after time, to keep democracy alive.

Anyway, it wasn't just the good folk of Shropshire who gave Boris a kicking last night :) .

Well if Maggie was trying to stamp out democracy , she certainly did up the deposit from £150 ( the level set in 1918 ) to £500 but she definitely did not up the level , she reduced it from 12.5% to 5% of the vote.
So in fact far less money was lost in total

Be interesting to see the numbers on the 'far less money was lost'. Either way, when you are only expecting to get 2-3% of the vote it was the hike to £500 that was far more relevant than the drop to 5%.

It's not democratic, and it's a misnomer. A deposit is something you get back if you play by the rules.
