Well that's the Liberals winning with a 5925 majority, apparently a 34.2% swing for them.

As a former moderate Conservative voter, I'm finding this hilarious, hopefully Bojo is finally getting his comeuppance.

He's a disgusting compulsive liar, who I could never have voted for, maybe I'm not alone and even some of his fans are starting to see through his lack of character hopefully.

I'm not making excuses for Boris but byelections are often used as a protest vote .
This also says as much about Labour as the Tories . They came nowhere !
The real test will be the next General election where it will probably turn blue again but with a different leaders .
The same thing happened in Mid Wales during last parliament .

Quite funny listening to the Liberal spokeswoman before the vote was announced, she was talking like they would be in government in the morning lol,
Was talking like Jo swinson did before last election 🤣 that worked well.

Protest vote to give blondie the message that we want a Conservative leading the Conservatives.

With better leadership and clear policies plus a change of name back the Liberal or Democratic Party might galvanise their support. Clergy stuffed them with his coalition with Dave. Tuition fees scandal killed them

Well Patterson made a fudge of it for them and the new Tory candidate was from Birmingham so with Boris making a trio of horror, I suppose it wasn't that surprising.
Bigger majority that I expected but as said already, Labour didn't do that well either.
14 candidates.
I wonder how many voted Monster Raving Looney?

Green Party nearly retained there deposit 😂😂

Thing with Boris, at the moment coronvirus is the big story. People don't like him at either end of the argument, some see him as wanting to put economy first others that he is too keen to put restrictions on. To be fair would be the same with anyone.

He should be voted out for other reasons, feel sorry for him over the pandemic.

No it’s not. It’s squarely about the Torys and Boris.
Sleaze, do as we say, not as we do. The country is being run by a bumbling idiot that is an embarrassment to the country . They also made a big mistake by not fielding a local candidate

I agree with you ...it's about the Tories and Boris but that's what happens in a by election ...it's a chance to make a protest and NS have done that .
However I still think the borrowed votes will return to Labour in next GE . The Tories who abstained or went somewhere else will,on the whole, return to Tory voting in GE not because they want to perhaps but because they will want to keep Labour out .
I think if there was a by-election in my area now I would lend Lib Dems a vote until a GE . .....just to stop Labour making ground !
