I've been reading the notes under that posting - including by NY Road policing

They still have to hide the identity of the van until the guy is convicted in a court ..........

The chap who was apprehended was made to re-load all his stuff in to the van

I saw a load of chippings tipped in a layby and decided to pinch them for my own drive. Went with my pickup and started shovelling it on.
Half way through and a cop car turns up so I quickly started to shovel it off again.
"Oi! what the heck do you think you are doing?"
"Hello officer, I just thought I could tip this gravel here"
"Oh no you don't sonny boy. Just you get that back on your truck sharpish!"

Stood and watched over me while I shovelled the lot onto my truck. :)

we get regular drop offs at the farm lane end most Sundays, old tv's cd players, tins of paint. Ive always blamed the fishermen who arrive in the area most weekends. last week a kitchen bin, some carpet and an old style typewriter

It started when we had to site the wheelie bins at lane end, our tarmac lane is 'unsuitable' for bin lorries

Found a load of household waste dumped in a layby bordering the farm just after Christmas. Had a quick look through it and the chap who had dumped it was kind enough to have left correspondence with his name and address on it.
When the Council workers came to pick the rubbish up I gave them the envelopes. They told me that they liked it when they found evidence like this because they had a guy who would go round to the fly tippers house and issue a court summons.

Neighbors got a lorry load dumped on a side road Monday night ,,blocked it completely as its access to airport radar station so they pushed the lot onto the verge and hopefully the council will clear it away,,it was full of bread loaves so the rats will be having a good feast

Ours are the same,,no big trailers without a permit which can only be used at one site,,no fridges or freezers and regular users have their registration numbers taken as they might be using the site to dump trade waste

Perhaps they left the loaves to feed the cockerels you keep finding ?;)

Had a complaint from a neighbour about a couple of feed sacks that were in the stream by our house - blight on the landscape, what will tourists think etc etc. So I slid down the wet bank getting stung by nettles, water came over the tops of my wellies, almost fell over a couple of times but reached them only to find they weren;t ours. He watched me crawl up the bank on my knees before emptying my wellies of water. Didn't get any thanks, only a "don't let this happen again" before he stalked off.

I once found a couple of bags of rubbish dumped in our field. When I opened them up I found a job application form for the local Morrisons. Even better, it was filled in! Not only did it provide a name, address and phone number. It also had the ladies shoe size, waist size and blouse size (presumably for her uniform).

So I phone up the number and her partner answered. He was quite abrupt and said "it wasn't them that dunit". When I asked him if his other half had size x feet, size x waist and size x blouse he got a bit upset and demanded to know how I knew all this. My answer was "Either I have been a naught boy with your girlfriend, or she has thrown away a job application form in the rubbish that you've dumped in our field. You have 24 hrs to come and pick it up or I will return it too your garden myself.....mixed in with 10 tonnes of cow shite"

When I looked the next day it had all been tidied up!
