Have 240 bales sitting in the yard that are not chopped one bit. Paid the contractor about two weeks ago. He refused to put a full set of knives in when I asked as it reduces his forward speed too much apparently. But I guess he’s took it upon him to not even bother with a half set and lifted them all out. Is it only me or do you guys have problems with contractors? He’ll never be near a gateway here again never mind make another bale. I am livid.

Where's everyone get their sawdust from?Currently using Dohertys but dad thinks it's getting too expensive.

Straight sawdust or Sublime? Has it got an increase since last year?

We used Sublime for the first time last winter, I thought it was reasonably priced compared to sawdust.

Its just sawdust that we use. Havent used any lime on the cubicles in the last 10 years

MDF dust from the kitchen door makers.
Bone dry.
Super absorbent.
It’s NOT dusty( particles must be heavier than sawdust)
And it’s free.
I’m ready for everyone to tell me how stupid i am but I’ll have to change this winter anyway.

I’d guess you’ll be paying a plasterer by the day,not per square meter.
And by the way, he’ll probably be getting more per day than you and every other farmer. Tradesmen are in the money again.

£40/bay 8ft high for one coat wonder. £50-£60/bay for scratch coat and rubbing up 2nd coat. Approx

We used it for a few year, does a good job in cubicles, but I detest handling it. One thing RT got right.

Anyone see fake or fortune BBC, yer man bought a pic for £1, the presenters asked...What can you get for £1 today....the reply... 2 pints of milk or a bottle of water. Never cost them a thought, time to starve a lot of the hxxrs
Stick all the quality marks on it you want,it's certainly doesn't improve the price,it's a commodity, no one gives a fxxk. What's rt worth...fxxk all
