SNP thinks Northern Ireland are getting the best of both worlds with this deal and want the same.? Is it a small step to United ireland? Are we getting thrown under the bus? Whose rules will we be following? More questions than answers

I actually do think it's a small step towards a United Ireland but it will only be by protestant choice eventually, I think what Brexit proved is that Britain doesn't give a sh*t about the north and it's the normal people, both north and south of the border, that have it's best interests at heart.

Wouldn't have thought so, but would need to hear the official analysis at the AGM. But as a consumer who is already penalised by some GB retailers on delivery options and cost, the outcome will surely result in even less consumer choice, as some companies shy away from hassle of paper work at the ports. Internal UK trade must always have priority, which is contradicted by this deal I think. But I'm open to other views...

Some have suggested it only applies on items coming into NI from the rest of the UK rather than items going the other way. (but need to study further)

That's my take on it too.

Theres to be a joint committee set up to determine what items need checks but that will depend upon the future trading relationship I presume.

If NI has to follow EU ag rules but I imagine SFP or its equivalent comes from Westminster will the likes of 1% fines for being naughty still exist?

Are we still in cap,do we qualify for sfp
We will leave the CAP when the UK leaves the EU, as I understand it NI will keep some Single Market Regulations so that our goods can enter the EU freely with checks at the ports to control goods coming from GB which could find their way into the EU via the open border. We will leave all other aspects of the EU the same as the rest of the UK. So no SFP just whatever the UK government decides to give us!

I hear Arlene is going to canvass for another referendum. Surely the only way out of this mess.
NI produce in the UK will have its "Britishness" diluted especially if there is hassle importing across the Irish sea.
Some of our local politicians backed Brexit to strengthen the border, they didn't realise which one.
Hopefully the deal won't be passed, extension given and allow another vote on EU membership. If the vote goes for Brexit again then at least they'll know what they are voting for.

Probably won't see mine for ages. Got a nice lady just wanting to check a field corner, smaller than my garden.

We had a a couple of fields inspected last year for rushes and a couple of hedges that had grown out into the field, tiny area and didn't result in a penalty. SPF payment wasn't delayed at all, although the inspector was out May/June time.
