Which is ironic, because a few years ago we were closed overhead of an animal I had sold a few months earlier (just prior to a clean clear test)then the same animal showed up at a factory "absolutely riddled" with TB. I queried if it was our actual animal or the ear number which used to appear in the ear of our animal? The vet understood but said they were not able to keep a DNA data base of all animals. One gets the feeling they don't really want to seriously tackle TB, but I'm sure most will agree with that?!

Heard of a factory vet who quarantined two bullocks for a month while they were DNA'ed, and then had them binned.

Pity that vet wasn't on duty the day our animal was(n't) presented at the factory!

I've been told that in the case of an animal binned as a result of an ID query, the farmer who registered the birth is usually held financially responsible.

Think I'm up to about ten marching neighbours down now. Lorry driver says from ballymoney to randalstown is rotten.
