I disagree. The farmers who appear to be doing the best round here are the ones WHO WORKKeep calm and carry on farming, if they offer me a fat enough brown envelope they can rewild as much as they like. The farmers who appear to be doing the best round here are the ones who work the system.
Couldn't agree more, both my kids go to a well respected grammar school and the mis-information being taught by the teachers on matters of food sourcing and farming practices is shocking, not the first time they have went to school armed with facts and figures to dispute information given to them in class. What chance do we have when todays children are being programmed with this sh!te?I think you overestimate how much production agriculture matters to the majority of people in NI. My friends and acquaintances are overwhelmingly non-farming, and few of them have any idea about it and even less do they care.

My dad used to say the government needs a dam good starving. He never saw it maybe I won’t either but it’s coming at sum stage. When other countries need the food fir their own people do you think they will send it hereIt's a weak case. They can and will get it from somewhere else. That's what they've been doing for years.
As long as they can get it off the shelf when they go to tesco
They got a shock tho when COVID kicked off when they went and the shelves were bare. It made a few people think about food security. Unfortunately people have short memories tho
I'm sure youre articulate enough to win the food argument with your friends. A journey of a 1000 miles starts with a single step. Chinese proverbIt's a weak case. They can and will get it from somewhere else. That's what they've been doing for years.
