Keep calm and carry on farming, if they offer me a fat enough brown envelope they can rewild as much as they like. The farmers who appear to be doing the best round here are the ones who work the system.

The ni economy is strongly supported by the food industry including farmers such as ourselves. There will be some green issues around the edges but the mainstream policy will be pro farming pro farmers unlike those ramble countryfile nimby types over the water.
Let them shut down English farming if they want. What's the old saying .....Englands difficulty was Irelands opportunity

I think you overestimate how much production agriculture matters to the majority of people in NI. My friends and acquaintances are overwhelmingly non-farming, and few of them have any idea about it and even less do they care.
Couldn't agree more, both my kids go to a well respected grammar school and the mis-information being taught by the teachers on matters of food sourcing and farming practices is shocking, not the first time they have went to school armed with facts and figures to dispute information given to them in class. What chance do we have when todays children are being programmed with this sh!te?
