Why is anything to do with the government so useless, booked mot for pickup which is up at the end of June, earliest date available 12th October. Next time some of them want to do an inspection I'll tell them it doesn't suit me for 4 months.
Anybody know what time cancellations released? Think someone had it on here a while ago.

The hassle comes when the system won't let you tax your vehicle. They send you fine warning letters, despite it being their problem.
Ive done a few of these. In my experience, just keep trying at all times of day or night. You have loads of people switching dates every minute of the day. Go on now and there might be nothing. Go on again in three minutes and you might have a date that someone else has given up. I've chopped and changed dates for a vehicle about three times, each one being a bit closer.

8am -9am check on the website, if you click change date and be ready when something comes up, they come and go in that hour as there uploaded and taken.

I had to do this recently as I wanted to sell the car the mot was due on. I didn't think a prospective buyer was going to take my 'it will fly through mot there's just a long wait at the moment'

I got a date suited me within 2 days of checking

Tax is my problem, it's up at the end of June too. Suppose I could tax early before the old mot runs out, don't like giving them money before absolutely necessary.

I'd tax it before the end of June, apply for your test before it expires. The MOT won't be a problem as long as you applied before it's due. That should keep your insurance OK as you've done everything you can.... I think. No tax gets you coming up on ANPR cameras and questions to answer.....

Just remember the vehicle has to be up to the MOT standard to allow you to drive away out of MOT, so get her booked in with a mechanic and checked over before your MOT date runs out to keep the insurance side of things right.

IIRC it's 8.55am that all are released and there usually is a shed load available each day especially for Boucher and Lisburn.

No.571 in a,queue, park her in the nettles and buy new,no more bother
