We were always told by FMT it was a must have for the the supermarkets in GB. For the last 5 years Glanbia didn't care if we were RT or not, but now they want it. I'm glad I stayed in,even though it was of no benefit,as I reckoned would easier keeping things up to date rather than starting from scratch again.

I have asked Lakeland rep which customers are asking for RT. Replied that it's the contracts they took on from LPatrick. That still leaves all the original Lakeland contracts which I would guess are substantially larger than LP. So to please a few we all have to go through this sh!t.

Just through RT visit, lock on door between parlour and bulk tank. Teat cup liners change dates. Saw dust posssibly contains mdf. Forgot to fill in medicine book for dehorning calves last winter and cracked rail on trailer gate strengthened just in case. Got away light.

As long as it all looks ok for the 1-2 hours they are on farm every 18months that's all they care about!

At the minute, but how long will it be before unannounced inspections become standard across the board. They always work with the thin end of the wedge and were to stupid and weak willed to do anything other than lie down to it. Would the scc bacto and antibiotics test the processors do not be sufficient.

Do you have to show receipt for liners?
Do you have to prove where saw dust comes from?

Was asked for sawdust receipt this time, luckily I had just paid the bill the day before, so it was easy to find.
Water test certificate if you're on a private supply.
