What rain have you all had? Only had 18mm here last weekend, nothing much since. Have been speaking to folk who have had over double that. Feels strange to be talking like this!

Same here. It hasn't made any noticeable difference yet apart from grass looking a bit greener. Silage ground will be cut 5 weeks on Monday, the best of it could cut in a couple of weeks, the worst is very sparse grazing

5 past on Monday. There's been a big change in a lot of my silage this week. Mainly just in the form of stem though. ?Will do any time as it's just getting worse by the day now.

Anyone any home remedies for mastitis. The choice of tubes from the vet is pathetic. I've 2 being treating for 2 weeks and no cure yet. Dont want them losing quarters.
This is the upshot of Red Tractor and their list of banned substances. The good stuff that fixed the problem is not allowed now! Has anyone tried the boluses from AHV? Quite expensive, but if they work........

Having the same problem. Got it tested as strep uberis. Vet says it's on the increase and difficult to treat. Frustrating when you've been tubing a week with no results. Giving the latest case tylan and procapen tubes. Vet also mentioned some stuff you mix??

The only thing that worked here for Strep Uberis is Mamzyn injections, and then not much more than 50% of the time. I think you can theoretically get tubes too but neither is available at our vets at the minute. I'm treating one with Permacyl at the minute, it's supposed to be the same stuff, you have to mix it just before using it.

These are the only choices. Ubrolesan are for complete waste of money. Others a copy of synulox. Average results

stop treating it for a week hand strip out the quarter after the unit comes off and see what happens. Failing that I wouldn’t waste time. If in calf dry off if not cull.
