Northern Ireland Milk Price Tracker

Big piece in today’s Times about the calf export from NI to Spain.
Apparently two week old calves are travelling 30 hours without being fed and Compassion in World Farming are on the case as it breaks all rules.

Tories have pledged to stop live animal export post Brexit and dairies are tightening up on shooting.

(Behind a paywall unfortunately but gist as above)
Could that be true. As far as I'm aware the exporter is paid per kg landed. It doesn't make sence but nothing would surprise me when it comes to calf dealers

2 week old holstein bull calves that haven't been fed for 30hours? Maybe it has happened, but I doubt it's the norm. They'd be staggering on their feet and get a bad scour after their 1st feed after travelling.

Wouldn't mind seeing the evidence of this??

He'll be keeping himself on the right side though, most reps like to be cautious, doesn't want to tell you it's going to be 30p when it ends up at 17p.
They are very busy at work (other pre-cast companies are available), must be because of the Boris loan, nobody better at spending money than farmers, whether they're making any or not.
We'll be getting the brown envelope from Edwin soon also. Just in time for my fendt to land in mcelderrys.

Lakeland rep told me milk will be rising by 0.5 to 1 ppl each month into the autumn. Asked him about springing heifers making £16-1800,he couldn’t see any massive price rise coming. Just farmers trying to get rid of their 50k govt loan.
Taking on additional debt with the bounce back is just pressing the go faster button on the treadmill in my mind. Might be cheap borrowing but it still has to be paid back

if you have debt then getting a bounce back loan to repay it makes sense.
0% for a year then 2.5% for the next 4 years.

if you going to change the telehandler next year may as well do it now and get cheap money!

Edwin's envelope won't buy much precast concrete.

I put the bounce back against a land loan. Shaves a fair bit of the interest off. But also halves the remaining payback time. It's five years at 2.5.

I'd like to know where you are all getting this £50K from?
